SIKORSKY S-64E SKY/AIR CRANE
The original helicopter that this model is based on.
The Sikorsky S-64 Skycrane is an American twin-engine heavy-lift helicopter.
It is the civil version of the United States Army's CH-54 Tarhe.
The S-64 Aircrane is the current production version, manufactured by the Erickson Air-Crane company
which have bought the concept from sikorsky
but i have chosen to call it Sikorsky air crane on my model even thoug the original is having Erickson Air-Crane written on it.
the more i got to know this helicopter made me fall in love with it.
like the CHINOOK its an amzing aircraft with a great design and overall concept.
it features some cool options like a seperat small cockpit turning back where a third crew member is placed and controls all the crane - hoist or what the helicopter is made for items
i have tryed to make most of the details seen on the original helicopter and most off them with actual detailed parts and not just a picture.
As usally i have made a serie of pictures showing the helicopter.
since this presentation include over 100 pictures most of the pictures is not having any comments on them only when i feel it needs one.
on some pictures details can have changed on the next or the model since many errors was discovered while making the pictures
i first starts out taking a tour around the Helicopter starting with the cockpit.
the first serie of pictures shows it as its name says - a SKY - AIR CRANE
which is the original helicopter as sikorsky first made it.

the helicopter is named - THE INCREDIBLE HULK which is an actual real helicopter

also note that there is different versions of the helicopter some have a glass bubble - ball as window in the cockpit door some has a plain flat window like my model has. some has - i dont now why - 2 wheels on the rear landings gear and some has one |

as usally the cockpit doors can bee open or closed using the hidden layers

and as usally it have a hatch to some kind of engine or controls room
it was mentioned on my s-58 choctaw model that the engine look needed some additional details so i added some to this |

and this is the second options there makes this helicopter a great concept
its build so that special modules can be attached to it where each module can be specially made for a porpuse like this is a water tank module |

note that the original helicopter has some emty space between the module and the top this i have changed in my model to avoid having to make a roof and other items and to safe file space |

as i have mentioned before that i have a ton of models i have started on but never finished.
